Pretty Calibrachoa's

Calibrachoas, otherwise know as million bells, or little petunias, are gorgeous little plants, that can be grown in numerous situations. From hanging baskets and pots, to cottage gardens, verges and generally as a ground cover.

Native to South America, these stunning plants come in a stunning array of colours and colour combinations, single flowers and doubles. You can even buy multi-planted pots!

On average, most Calibrachoa's grow about 20cm high and 40cm wide, and they can do very well here in Oz. The do however require a bit more water in our hot climate, so make sure you keep up that water. However ease off during winter as this can cause rotting, and fungal problems.

The best way to keep them from getting a bit leggy, easy, lightly prune when they finish flowering. It's that simple.

They aren't heavy feeders but will appreciate a bit during the main growing period, so fertilise early spring. You can use anything suitable for flowering plants, pot plants, and they'll never say no to a bit of potash. Seasol or a seaweed tonic will be forever welcome.

Again, planting is easy, the prefer a bit more of a fertile soil that's free draining,  so a good compost, soil Improver or potting mix is beneficial.

They're easy, low maintenance and absolutely stunning and cheerful plants.
