HoneyBee's Bucket List Of Edibles

It was very very hard to just pick a couple of fruits/edibles on my bucket list, but I've given it a go. Enjoy!

. Panache Tiger Fig

Striped green and yellow on the outside and bright, strawberry red on the inside, this is definitely an eye catching fig, and tasty with its jammy, berry like flavour.

. Hasburgen Fig

This fig appears to be like no other with its dense, jammy yet syrupy inside which is said to taste like berries with a hint of maple and caramel! Gosh darn, sounds tasty!

. Dwarfing Jaboticaba

Known to fruit within two years this striking tree bears fruit on its trunk! This one can also be kept at two meters, how handy.

. Blue Java Banana

This cold tolerant tree has fruit that is said to be almost icecreamy in consistency and vanillery in flavour, who wouldn't want this stunning, blue blushed banana

. Red Dacca Banana

Berries and bananas, a fabulous combination, and this is all in one fruit, the red dacca has creamy sweet fruit with a hint of berries.

. Miracle Fruit

This one I would grow for the pure fun of it as the fruit have a unique trait... They have a chemical in them that affects our taste receptors, making everything taste sweet!

. Peanut Butter Fruit

With a rich creamy texture and peanut butter like flavour these orange/red berries sound too good to pass up, not to mention, it's a beautiful tree.

. Blackberry Jam Fruit

This fruit tastes just as the name suggests, like blackberry jam. With a nice thin skin, these tasty morsels can be eaten straight off the tree, I'm not sure how many would make it inside though.

. Gold Coffee

Sweet and delicious fruits that are a gorgeous golden yellow and hold a slightly floral note.

. Purple Mangosteen

The first time I tried this fruit I fell in love and knew I'd have to grow my own one day. Sweet but tangy, citrus tones but almost peachy, it just dances on the taste buds.

. Cinnamon

Both decorative and useful, with it's new growth a vibrant red, this tree is stunning. Did you know both the leaves and bark can be used in cooking.

. Frankie's Dwarf Red Dragonfruit

Orange skin with red and flecked white flesh, this dragon fruit has an exceptionally sweet flesh that is reminiscent to lemonade in flavour with berry hints.

. Kadsura

Bearing fruit on an evergreen vine, I hope to grow this along my front verandah one day. With pineapple like segments it definitely looks unusual. Although there is very little information on the taste, the fruit have many health benefits that are still being discovered.

. Red Ilama - Annona diversifolia

This fruit just looks so interesting, and being from the custard apple family, I have to give it a go. With creamy flesh that has hints of strawberry flavouring it sounds just amazing to be served with vanilla icecream. Although because this tree prefers a hot tropical climate I may have to build a greenhouse for it to grow well in my area.
This deciduous trees fruits are just packed full of goodness, containing essential amino acids, they're high in calcium and phosphorus and a great source of protein and carbohydrates!
