Fungi In The Forest

As I think most of you know by now, if you've read my previous posts, I'm a tiny bit shroom-sessed and love spending the cooler months out and about trying to discover the tiny world of fungi.
Here's a few stunners that have been spotted this season!

Cortinarius austrovenetus aka the Green Skinhead Mushroom.

Tentatively named Black Cup Fungus!
A beautiful Nidula, awaiting confirmed identification of species.
Potentially a less mature Jelly fungi, but I'll let you know when an identification is confirmed.
Jelly Bells, never get bored of these, neither was the springtail.
Likely a beautiful little Scleroderma, aka earthballs.
Aleurina ferruginea, fondly known as a Fleshy Cup Fungus or Brown Cup Fungus.

In all honesty, I have yet to find anything quite like these but I have now seen hundreds, varying in shades of pink and red, occasionally blushing purple or more orange, growing on leaves, wood both decaying, even on other fungi.
One of the most incredible sites this was, a whole tree that had been felled, covered, literally covered in these. Beautiful Trametes, aka, Turkeys Tail, in a stunning array of colours.
Pretty little Stagshorn fungi, Calocera.

Stunningly bright cluster of slime moulds.

A handsome polypore, I'll update when I have a specific species.
This is truly just a microscopic speck of the wildness found this season, but I would need a lifetime to show them all.. Perhaps just a few more, enjoy, and as always happy gardening.
